The standard MACD lags. By the time the signal line crosses, the move is already underway and the entry is late. Sniper MACD is built on a zero-lag calculation that brings the cross closer to where the move actually begins, not after it.

What separates it from the built-in MACD is everything that happens around the signal. The standard MACD fires in ranging markets, fires repeatedly in the same move, and gives you no way to know whether momentum is actually behind the cross.

Sniper MACD uses an ADX filter to suppress signals when the market has no direction, a two-bar histogram momentum check to confirm that force is building before a signal fires, and a cooldown system that locks out new triggers for 10 bars after each entry. The result is a cleaner chart with signals that require the market to prove itself first.

Key Features

• Zero-lag MACD engine. Reduces signal delay so crosses appear earlier in the move compared to a standard MACD.

• ADX chop filter. No signals when ADX is below 20. The indicator stays quiet in sideways, directionless markets.

• Histogram momentum gate. Signal only fires when the histogram confirms momentum is building over the last two bars.

• Cooldown system. 10-bar lockout after each signal prevents cluster noise and repeated triggers in the same move.

• Trend-aware alerts. Strong bullish and bearish alerts fire separately based on 200 EMA position, so you know whether the signal is with or against the trend.

How To Use It

Add the indicator and leave the defaults. The ADX and histogram filters are on by default and handle most of the noise reduction automatically. When a signal appears, check whether price is above or below the 200 EMA badge. Above it, bullish crosses carry more weight. Below it, bearish crosses do. Set the Strong Bullish or Strong Bearish alert if you want notifications only when the signal is aligned with the trend.
