Keltner Plus

WHAT IS IT?
The Keltner Channel places ATR-based bands around an EMA. Unlike Bollinger Bands which use standard deviation, Keltner Channels use ATR, making them less sensitive to volatility spikes. They are used for trend identification, squeeze detection (Bollinger inside Keltner signals a pending breakout), and band-touch entries. The standard version uses a fixed ATR multiplier with symmetric bands.
INDICATOR PRIME IMPROVEMENTS
Keltner Plus introduces an R²-adaptive ATR multiplier: in trending markets the multiplier increases above the base value, widening the channel for room to run. In choppy conditions it contracts, tightening the bands for mean-reversion setups. The adaptation range is configurable. Trend-aware asymmetric bands add a directional tilt using the same R² engine as Bollinger Plus. Band-touch signals include ADX filter and cooldown. Available exclusively with Prime Access.
HOW TO USE
Use Keltner Plus for two purposes: trend strength reading (price hugging the upper band signals a strong trend) and mean-reversion entries (lower-band touch with ADX confirmation in an established uptrend). The Bollinger-Keltner squeeze — Bollinger Bands compressing inside Keltner — indicates impending breakout when it resolves.
KIT CONFLUENCE
Keltner Plus and Bollinger Plus interact through the squeeze concept: Bollinger inside Keltner signals a pending breakout; Bollinger outside Keltner confirms strong momentum. Take Donchian Plus breakout signals that are simultaneously beyond the Keltner outer band for the highest-conviction breakout entries. Ultra Parabolic SAR provides the trailing stop for all three channel tool entries in Prime Access.
